University of Detroit Mercy — Chemistry Building
This project featured the extensive interior renovation of the historic University of Detroit Mercy Chemistry Building. First constructed in the early 1920's, the building had undergone numerous partial renovations in the past 90 years. The new work included thorough interior alterations which had to "undo" the previous undocumented renovations that had the project team solving unique problems on a nearly daily basis. At the conclusion of the 8 month build, the new facility featured a new lecture hall, laboratories, classrooms, offices, common areas, stairways, bathrooms and mechanical/electrical systems.
